Desired Haven is located on Dugway Road off County Road 37, just north of the four corners of the beautiful rural town of West Bloomfield, which is known for its quiet country ambience. Situated on a hilltop at 1000 feet above sea level, with views northward to Lake Ontario and southward to the Bristol Mountains, Haven is framed with unobstructed views of spectacular sunrises and sunsets.

Our B&B is approximately 9 miles east of the Interstate 390 corridor, offering fast and easy access to Rochester-area attractions. A 40-minute drive is all it takes to reach our inn from the Rochester International Airport (see list of Amenities). We are within 30 minutes of downtown Rochester, 20 minutes from Canandaigua, and 25 minutes from Geneseo.

Desired Haven is situated on a dead-end road which will appeal to those looking for a restful, peaceful hideaway retreat from the stresses of the world. Set back from the road, our inn sits on 19 acres of wooded landing teeming with deer, fox, coyote, birds and natural woodland that will take your breath away. Trails are carved out of our wooded acres for hiking, snow-shoeing or cross-country skiing. Benches are available for taking it all in. Guests are invited to take solitary walks down the road. Lianna's gardens around the house produce lovely, fragrant "picture spots." The deck with gazebo offers a great place to read a book, enjoy a catered lunch or take a nap.

West Bloomfield is called the Gateway to the Bristol Mountains and is nestled in the Finger Lakes Region of of Upstate New York. Desired Haven is central to countless attractions: lakes, wineries, state and county parks, ski resorts -- all less than a half-hour away. Universities and colleges, fairs and festivals, flora and fauna abound! Naples Grape Festival, held in late September, is one fine example.

State Route 5 / U.S. Route 20 -- just one mile north of Haven -- is also known here as "Antique Country Mile." Originally an Indian trail, now one of America's primary coast-to-coast highways, Rte. 5 & 20 hosts hundreds of antique and gift shops, restaurants and shopping centers which line its path. Golfing opportunities are also plentiful.
